Four Powerful Reasons Why You Must Dream Big

‘The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.’ – Oprah Winfrey;

If you contemplate the biggest achievements today, you’ll conclude that big dreams have been their fuel. We could not have roads, the internet, and mobile phones if some people did not dream big. These innovations exist because some visionaries envisioned interconnected highways, dreamed of a world where information could be accessed with a click, and imagined connecting the world through handheld communication devices.

The internet has exposed us to many great people who came from rags to riches just because they dreamed big and worked hard. For this reason, most of us know the importance of big dreams but we avoid dreaming big due to several reasons. Mainly, the belief that big dreams are unrealistic is a major reason why we avoid dreaming big. Today, I’ll encourage you to dream big by sharing with you four reasons why you must dream big.

If you ponder reality and realize that it is an illusion shaped by the contents of consciousness, you won’t hesitate to dream big. You’ll realize that the idea of being realistic is absurd because consciousness is the only reality: it is the creator and perceiver of reality. You’ll understand that the so-called reality is an illusion with no limitations and the limitations only exist in consciousness. In other words, you’ll realize that the limitations we perceive are only constructs of consciousness, not inherent in the reality-illusion.

For this reason, you’ll dream big knowing that you – consciousness inhabiting a physical body – can design any dream you want because you are more powerful than the reality-illusion, which usually aligns itself with the thoughts within consciousness.

  • A Big Dream Will Force You to Work Hard

If you dream big and you are serious about achieving your dreams, you’ll work hard and experience the effects of hard work. You’ll meet with the undeniable truth that massive success is only earned through hard work and dedication. These realizations will encourage you to avoid anything that distracts you from your dreams so that you make time for work. You’ll want to spend every moment working towards your dream, and the surprising fact is that work won’t feel like work because the pursuit of your dream will become a labor of love, accompanied by passion and excitement that encourages you to keep moving forward.

  • You’ll Realize That A Higher Power is Always Supporting You

I am a big dreamer and I am starting to realize that a Higher Power is trying to help me reach my dreams. Sometimes, things beyond my control, like losing a job, force me to take steps that move me closer to my dream.

Paulo Coelho’s quote, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it” is starting to make sense to me. Sometimes it could seem impossible to get something, such as buying a new laptop for blogging purposes because I am broke. Yet, remarkably, circumstances often shift in my favor, providing the means to acquire what I need.

  • People Have Achieved Bigger Dreams Than Yours, Which Seemed Impossible.

You should dream big because I believe whatever you want to achieve is small compared to monumental dreams achieved throughout history. Consider this: a few people dreamed of colonizing Africa, and they achieved this dream. Others dreamt of spreading Christianity across the globe and succeeded. And don’t forget the big dreamers who dreamt of lighting up the world with electricity and achieved this seemingly impossible dream.

If these people achieved dreams that appeared almost impossible to achieve, how can it be deemed impossible to achieve your wildest dreams, which I believe are small compared to these dreams?

Conclusion

Dream big, don’t reveal your dream to anyone and commit to achieving it. Telling people will result in self-doubt since they will project their fears on you.

Besides, don’t let the fear of failure prevent you from dreaming big. If you dream big and fail to achieve your dreams, you will avoid regret and a sense of dissatisfaction in old age because you’ll know that you dared to dream big and worked on your dream.

I believe you’ll also achieve something bigger and better by having a big dream and chasing it rather than settling for mediocrity or playing it safe. Remember, if you shoot for the moon and miss, you’ll land among the stars and as Lesley Brown said, “It is better to aim high and miss than to aim low and hit.

Anyway, imagine how happy and fulfilled you’ll be if you achieve your wildest dreams. Think about the sense of purpose and satisfaction that will come from manifesting your deepest desires into reality, and dare to dream big, for the fulfilment of your wildest dreams promises happiness beyond measure.

Lastly, focus on the process, not the results, if you want the journey to your dreams to be interesting.

SHALOM.
