The Power of Death – Poem

The Power of Death – Poem

Last Updated on June 15, 2024 by The Unbounded Thinker

Death is what we fear,

It’s far but yet so near,

But come, it must,

And make us dust

Death frees us from the body,

allows us to experience spirit,

Death frees us from physical life,

From its tears, sweat, strife.

Death raises us above illusions,

Of time, space, matter,

And our endless mental chatter,

then shows us what really matters.

Death leads us to a sea,

Of truth that makes us free,

From the lies we believed,

While on earth as we grieved

As we die we see a light,

So strange and bright,

It opens our eyes,

And makes us wise.

Life is short,

we’ll die and rot

lets experience it now,

to its mystery let’s bow

as we drown in awe
